Cooperation Agreements
PEC signed several agreements in the first quarter of 1996. The most important agreements are the cooperation agreement with Achen university and the Cooperation Agreement with EDF. The first agreement will make PEC the only channel for cooperation between Achen and Palestine. This will include research projects, students exchange and partnership in European programs. The second cooperation agreement will enable PEC to deal with urgent electrical problems facing the rural areas in Palestine.
EDF will provide large generators and other equipment as will as technical assistant to Palestinian villages .
PEC also signed a cooperation agreement with the Royal Scientific Society in Jordan and the Technical Development Corporation.
Through the signing of the cooperation agreements, PEC enjoys a large network of relations and partnerships with all the active players in the Mediterranean region as well as the international players .
The Protocols that were signed since the beginning of 1995 are:
- Protocol of cooperation with ENEA (Italy).
- Protocol of cooperation with ICEAN (Spain).
- Protocol of cooperation with FhG-ISE (Germany).
- Protocol of cooperation with CRES (Greece).
- Protocol of cooperation with ADEME (France).
- Protocol of cooperation with CEEETA (Portugal).
- Protocol of cooperation with AME (Tunisia).
- Two new protocols are expected to be signed this year with ENEL (Italy) and VERBYND-PLAN (Austria).
Moreover, there are many important local cooperation agreements.
- Protocol of cooperation with The Ministry of Transportation.
- Protocol of cooperation with The Ministry of Health.
- Protocol of cooperation with The Ministry of Planning and Int. Cooperation.
- Protocol of cooperation with The Ministry of Tourism is being discussed.
- Protocol of cooperation with The Ministry of Local Government is being discussed.
- Protocol of cooperation with An- Najah National University is being discussed.
- Protocol of cooperation with The Palestinian Engineers Association is being discussed.
- Protocol of cooperation with The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics is being
discussed.
