Directorate - General of Planning and Development (MOHE) Call for Papers in a Symposium on Administrative Modernisation in the Higher Education Institutions in Palestine Best Eastern Hotel (Ramallah) November 23 - 2000 Objectives:
Themes: 1- Patterns of current management at the Palestinian higher education institutions. a: Administrative performance at the Palestinian higher education institutions. b: Administrative problems at the Palestinian higher education institutions. 2: Administrative Development Strategies at the Palestinian Higher Education Institutions. a: Strategic planning and its role in administrative modernisation at the Palestinian higher education institutions. 3- International models and patterns for modern management at higher education institutions. 4: The importance of information technology and communication networks( ITC) in the administrative modernisation at the Palestinian higher education institutions. 5: Administrative modernisation at scientific research and postgraduate studies at the Palestinian higher education institutions. 6: Updating the performance of various administrations at the Palestinian higher education institutions (human resources management, registration and students’ affairs, financial management, regulations and laws, humanitarian relationships, information system, community services.) 7: Modernising the organisational structures of the Palestinian higher education institutions. 8: Modernising both assessment and promotion at the Palestinian higher education institutions.
Participation: The Ministry of Higher Education invites university presidents, instructors, researchers, experts as well as deans of the colleges to submit papers or researches on the themes of the seminar in harmony with the following conditions: 1- An abstract should be submitted to the co-ordinator of the Symposium Dr. Wael Al-Qadi or by E-mail waelq@mhe.planet.edu by 15/9/2000. 2- The abstract should not exceed a single A4 page and should include the title of the paper, the name and full address of the author. 3- The full text paper should be submitted in three copies to the presidency of the symposium by 15/10/2000. The paper should not exceed 20 printed A4 pages.
