Palestinian IT Firms Mobilized for GITEX 2001

Ramallah, Palestine – The Palestinian Information Technology Association for Companies (PITA) announced today its sponsorship of the Palestinian Pavilion @ GITEX 2001. GITEX 2001 is the premier Middle East IT trade exposition to be held October 14-18 this year in Dubai. PITA’s presence at GITEX will highlight the notable growth and momentum of the Palestinian IT sector, and showcase the various new IT business opportunities in Palestine for the international investor.

PITA’s Chairman, Ibrahim Barham, states, “A defining characteristic of the IT industry worldwide, and particularly here in Palestine, is its ability to look beyond current realities and to chart a course towards the future. The Palestinian Pavilion @ GITEX 2001 will highlight a number of bold new infrastructure, human resource and technology initiatives currently underway in Palestine.

GITEX is the largest and most successful event of its kind in the Middle East and it has firmly established itself as the premier exhibition for computing and communication systems and applications dedicated to the IT industry and the entire business environment.
