Thread Index Re: Amman Trade fair / Greece
Dear Bassem, 1- As you probably know PITA went to Amman on behave of seven companies, PITA BoD has a standing decision not to participate in non-IT exhibitions unless a number of members wish PITA to represent them collectively and bear the costs of this PITA involvement 2- The exhibition attracted many politically sympathetic visitors; of interest to us was the expatriates Palestinians from the gulf region, USA and Europe. Few of those are business people and working in IT related businesses. In a separate mail I will send to the seven companies the details of those contacts. 3- I have met representative of the Jordanian IT association INTAG and made contacts with Dubai Internet City (DIC) which will help us in regional networking and in preparation for GITEX 4- The Islamic Bank for development was a funder for the Amman exhibition and I know they where impressed with the outcome and I was reliably informed that they are willing to fund Paltrade arrange further exhibitions. Companies’ members in Paltrade may approach Paltrade to help them attend such exhibitions. This help can be channelled through PITA 5- Companies engaged in software business are most to benefit from those exhibitions by selling outsourcing services and software packages 6- I encourage all members to attend exhibitions whenever their resources allows specially at this time. Amman exhibition to us was a success 7- PITA resources are limited and will participate in non-IT trade fairs whenever resources are available rgds Mashhour ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bassem" <belwazir@hally.net> To: <pita@pita-palestine.org>; "Members of PITA" <members@pita-palestine.org> Sent: Saturday, August 18, 2001 1:34 PM Subject: Amman Trade fair / Greece > Dear Mashhour, > > You just sent us an invitation to participate in a trade fair in Greece.
