REQUEST for INFORMATION - POS System
REQUEST for INFORMATION

Supermarket Point of Sale System

The Arab Palestinian Shopping Centers Co. P.L.C. (APSC) is
establishing the largest and most comprehensive supermarket in
Palestine as the anchor store in its first Shopping Center currently
being built in Al-Bireh. The target opening date is 4QTR 2001.

We are currently interested in receiving information regarding
supermarket Point of Sale (POS) systems that are well tested in
the supermarket environment and have an established user base,
preferably in our immediate region (Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, etc).

The POS system needs to serve ten cashier stations each with an
integrated scale, barcode/UPC scanner, receipt printer, card
readers for credit card processing and accessories. We are
interested in POS software solutions and/or the needed hardware
regardless of the software choice.

The POS system will need to interface with the ACCPAC
Advantage Series (Enterprise Edition), the financial and accounting
package that is already installed. See www.accpac.com.

We are NOT looking to develop our own POS system or participate
in a system under development. Only serious suppliers with well
established products in the supermarket industry would be
considered. Reference sites using the proposed solutions and any
budgetary costs are also requested.

Preference will be given to PITA members. Our purchase time
frame is two months from today.

For any questions and to submit your information, please contact
APSC’s MIS Senior Supervisor, Maher Tu’meh at 02-298-4242, fax
02-298-4243.
