Thread Index ISP Market Structure - A Case Study
Dear friends, As we all ponder the Palestinian ISP market these days, with hopes of a better overall environment for development, I would like to add the attatched document to the discussion. It is the full document to the abstract that I last distributed re Argentina's Internet development. Although no one case study of another country is fully able to be cut and pasted here, this specific example is very close to our reality, minus real executive level commitment. In particular, the community on ramps on pg. 7 is worth looking at as a model that may help all stakeholders define a joint project. I proposed something similar to the World Bank InfoDev program for funding back in 1997. My project did not materialize, but I think that the World Bank is now working on a very similar project in Palestine themselves.
