RE: Ministry of Industry invitation
Dear All,
OFFTEC has also received a formal invitation to attend this meeting, and
would hence like to suggest that we decide on how best to present PITA in
this event, in addition to our company's interest of-course. I believe a
meeting prior to this meeting is very much advised.
Awaiting you suggestions and comments.
Thanks

I will also be away but it is very important for us to attend the meeting as
PITA in order to understand the ministry's objectives.

We have just received an invitation addresses to PITA by the Ministry of
Industry and signed by the ministry Krunz as the president of the Government
Higher committee on IT. I will ask Safa to scan and send to you
Subject The future in IT industry in Palestine
Time: Wednesday 11/7/2001
Place: Ministry of Industry Ramallah
Time: 10:00
Background, Odeh Shehadeh from the union of Palestinian industries has
called yester day asking for the details of software development companies,
because the minister wants to meet with them as will as PITA. I told him
that the new board is interested to meet with him. The indirect msg I got
that the minister is not interested in this, but like to have direct contact
with the software firms. You can draw your conclusions here! Odeh went to
our database in PITA site and collected the information he wanted and asked
few questions about some companies if they do software or not?
Unfortunately, I will be away Wednesday and Thursday for some private
engagements and can't be in this meeting. I am sure many software houses
have got the invitation as well.
I personally suggest that PITA established Software forum within PITA! I
think nothing will come out of this meeting but I can read between the
lines!
