RE: Re: End User Policy
Dear
Ahmad and all,
I
think that we are achieving our goals nowadays, and we should keep the momentum
so as to reach an agreement with Paltel. Let's put this message on our top
agenda next meeting and to define a specialized committee to follow up the
process so as to reach an agreement with Paltel. Moreover, PITA will be the one
as always who will take the lead in this campaign.
Thanks
for your efforts and let's make it.
Ibrahim
Dear Board, I have been working extensively with
Paltel top management for the past month to finalize a working strategy for
the Internet that will be beneficial for both of us. We need to draft a new
proposal to include the new issues and then discussed in a workshop. This is a
top urgent issue before Paltel comes up with its new policy public. Need your
input and comments ASAP. Thanks
P.S. If this is done right it is going
to be break through for PITA

Ahmed,
PalTel will be
making public our Internet and ISP working relationship Policy very
shortly. It is/will be along the lines we discussed. PalTel understands
and appreciates ISP's as being one of our major customers and one of
PalTel's significant service distributer channels. We would like
to foster and increase our working relationships. Including joint
advertising, promotion and public awareness and relations
programs.
As also discussed, we are searching for the best forum.
Should it be PITA, or is there an Organization/Association specific fot
he ISP's.
The other alternarive is simply invite all the ISP's to
PalTel and have an open discussion and formalizing our Agreements and
Understandings.
I would like to do that asap. Please consult your
colleagues in the industry. I also understand you are a Member of the
Board of PITA.
I would like to put this issue behind us and get on
with our businesses.
As discussed, PalTel's objectives/requirements
are, briefly, as follows:
1- Internet Penetration in Palestine to
reach 10% in the very near future (i.e. in excess of 30K
subscribers). 2- PalTel Infrasture to be used exclusively. Including
using PalTel as the Int'l Gateways for ANY ISP services. 3-ISP's do
not compete in PalTels Licenced services which includes but not limited
to Reselling our services in any way shape or form, particularly
IP Telephony in General.
Please assist us in setting up such a get
together asap.
Best Regards,
Abdel Rahman
Omar
