The Role of Internationals in the Palestinian Israeli conflict

Since the outbreak of the al-aqza intifadah, dubbed also the Independence intifadah from 34 years of israeli occupation, Israel has taken brutal/drastic and at times desperate measures to put down the Palestinian uprising.

The Israeli army has been undiscriminatly firing missiles from tanks, helicopters and war ships at Palestinian targets. Soldiers fire live ammunition regularly at unarmed Palestinians. Israeli forces continue to invade sovereign palsetenian territory domolishing whole neighberhoods, destroying agricultural land and abducting Palestinians.

Many of these actions qualify as war crimes under international law.

On top of all of this, armed settler groups regulary attack and sometimes kill Palestinians while the Israeli government and police do very little to stop them.

Much of this information would not be known outside the occupied territories if it wasn't for the internationals in Palestine.

With Israel limiting organized observer missions, and completely preventing an international intervention force, the role of internationals has become crucial in documenting and reporting what they see.

Our group consisting of Israelis, Internationals and Palestinian has been working together in non violent struggle to the Israeli Occupation.
