The return of our homeland is nothing less than the fulfillment of our destiny,  a relentless faith within ourselves that remembers life before occupied Palestine. Death is more than escape from occupation, it is the way of life for our courageous countrymen. This is the legacy Palestinians continue to  pass from generation to generation and nothing will ever alter the course of our destiny as a nation. Palestine will emerge from the ashes of Israel like a great phoenix and Jerusalem will be the heart of our nation's immortality. We were born upon her soil and we will return to our beloved homeland in her darkest hour and brightest day.

Time is the enemy of Occupation.

"Israeli domination can prevent Palestinians from entering their own country but the choice to die there and return to our soil, is our own."
Abu Faisal

Tariq Ismail Al-Hantouli of Silat Daher became restless with gathering olives for his family. When two trees were left to harvest, he turned to his brothers and said, "yallah, who loves me, will follow me".

Tariq and his brothers went  to throw stones at the Israeli soldiers and in a short time, Tariq was seriously wounded by a gunshot to his head..

There are three roads out of Silat Daher. One went to the Israeli Settlement, the other went to Jenin and the third was a winding road that went through several villages before it reached Tol-Karem.  The road to Tol-Karem was the only choice to get Tariq to the hospital.

Tariq Ismail Al-Hantouli, age 18, died at the hospital in Tol-Karem of his head wounds.

Tariq was taken to Silat Daher, and  back to his family and to his home. He was followed to his tomb by the village and many others from the surrounding area. Thousands came to the Martyr Wedding of Tariq Ismail Al-Hantouli, who believed Palestinians should fight on their feet rather than die on their knees to the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

This page is in honor of him.
