Press Clarification

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, leadership has followed up media coverage of a joint communiqué signed by Qassam Brigades and the Aqsa Brigades. On that issue we would like to clarify the following:

First: It is not true that Qassam Brigades and Aqsa Martyrs Brigades issued a joint communiqué on a truce with Zionist occupation.

Second: The only party entrusted with expressing Hamas’ political stands is the Movement’s political leadership. On the other hand the military wing of the Movement is solely concerned with resistance operations and taking responsibility for them.

Third: On this occasion we affirm the Hamas Movement’s stable strategy based on continuation of the intifada and resistance until liberation of the lands and ejection of occupation.
