Appeal

Terrorist Sharon and his government are exploiting the explosions in America and its repercussions on the international arena and the World’s preoccupation with that to give a green light for a terrorist group to lay down the foundation stone of the alleged temple near the Maghareba gate, one of the gates of the holy Aqsa Mosque.

We, in the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, consider that act a flagrant encroachment on one of the shrines holy to a billion and a half Muslims all over the world. Faced by such a situation, we cannot stand arms folded and will use all available means to preserve our lands and sanctities. We appeal to leaders of the Nation not to preoccupy themselves with the Bush campaign and to give priority to the Arabs and Muslims’ prime cause that of Palestine and its throbbing heart the holy Aqsa Mosque.

We also urge leaders and peoples of the Arab and Muslim Nation to adopt a serious and responsible stand in support of the Aqsa Mosque and the people of Palestine. We also call on our people to break all terrorist, Zionist barriers and obstacles and head to the Aqsa Mosque tomorrow Thursday to protect the Isra’ site of our prophet, peace be upon him, and prevent the Zionist terrorists from proceeding with their crime.

We pledge to our people and Nation to remain along the road of intifada, resistance and Jihad until realizing our full rights Insha’allah.
