Military communiqué issued by Qassam Brigades

Shelling for shelling … and Zionists will not go unpunished

The Qassam Brigades declare with the grace of Allah its responsibility for the shelling of the two settlements of Mirage and Nitsarim with mortar shells on the anniversary of the Karame battle on Wednesday 25 Thul Hijja, 1421 that is 21/3/2001 in a quick and direct reprisal to the Zionist gangs’ bombardment of the position of the brothers in Froce-17 that led to martyrdom of the hero officer Kamal Al-Jamal and the serious wounding of four of his colleagues.

Our proud Palestinian people … our Arab Islamic Nation:

Our operation comes on the anniversary of assassinating our brothers the leaders in Fatah Movement Abu Yousef Al-Najjar, Kamal Edwan and Kamal Nasser in Firdana in Lebanon. The Zionists have exceeded all limits, they killed, displaced, imprisoned, destroyed houses and property even our graveyards were not spared. We have no other choice but Jihad and developing its means until victory or martyrdom.

We in the Qassam Brigades vow before Allah to continue along the road of Jihad and martyrdom and affirm our responsibility for the following:

1- Bombing the settlement of Dobit in north of Gaza Strip with mortar shells on Friday evening 22/3/2001.

2- Shelling the settlement of Nahal Oz to the east of Gaza city on Sunday evening 18/3/2001 also using mortars.

Our proud masses: your Brigades, the Qassam Brigades, pledge to remain your faithful and strong arm with which you fight the arrogant occupiers until they are cleansed out of our usurped lands and sanctities.

And it is a Jihad until either victory or martyrdom
