Commenting on the announcement by certain Arab countries, such as Libya, their readiness to intervene by offering  planes to carry Mr. Ibrahim Ghoushe from Amman airport to those countries or to Qatar, we, in the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, would like to clearly declare that any mediation should be based on convincing the Jordanian government to allow Mr. Ghoushe to enter his country, for this is the natural situation and it will be welcomed on our side.

Any other mediation to transfer Mr. Ghoushe to any other country than Jordan is really unacceptable on our part and on the part of Mr. Ghoushe himself. It will in fact facilitate his deportation and displacement out of his country anew.

It is worth mentioning that he had no problem in finding a country to live in. He lived in Qatar amidst utmost welcome and hospitality but he, along with his deported brothers, insist on their right to return to their country Jordan, a right that is guaranteed by the constitution and the law.
