Press Release Issued by the
Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas

In the light of statements from the office of the enemy’s premier about understandings reached during chairman Arafat’s meeting with Shimon Peres, the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas would like to affirm the following:

First: At a time when martyrs and wounded are falling in defense of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and while the terrorist aggression is continuing against our people, Hamas rejects such meetings with symbols of Zionist terrorism whose hands are smeared with blood of our unarmed Palestinian people and who are still threatening our people and their Jihad. Such American-Zionist plots are only aimed at aborting the shining Intifadha, which lit the way for our people and Nation towards liberation of Palestine and the holy city of Al-Quds.

Second: The blessed Aqsa Intifadha, which broke out for the sake of defeating occupation and ejecting the settlers and which was decorated with blood of thousands of martyrs and wounded and posed as a Jihad guide for our Arab and Islamic Nation, could not stop under any pretext without achieving its legitimate goals represented in defeating Zionist occupation on the land of Palestine and the holy city of Al-Quds the first Qibla, third holiest shrine in Islam and Isra’ site of our prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him.

Third: We call on all forces of our Palestinian people and their Mujahid masses to continue the Intifadha in retaliation to the barbaric aggression that is still being waged against our people. We urge our people to maintain their unity, which was evident in this blessed Intifadha and which was endorsed in the resistance and Jihad trench. We affirm our rejection of returning to the option of negotiations that divided our people and drove a wedge among its various sectors.

Here they are our virtuous martyrs ascending to the heavens even after the office of terrorist Barak declared that understandings were reached last night meaning that Zionist terrorism was ongoing necessitating continuation of the Intifadha with all its forms and means.
