UN Experts: "Israeli" theft of Lebanese soil and water cause dangerous environmental and economic problems

"Top world experts warn "Israeli" theft of Lebanese soil and water will inflict environmental and ecological problems. Top world experts are warning "Israel's" theft of fertile top soil and water from occupied southern Lebanon will inflict dangerous environmental and economic problems. The warning was made on the sidelines of a geology conference in Beirut, where experts are discussing the future of mineral resources in the Middle East."

"UN House in Beirut is hosting a four-day international conference on geology in the Middle East. World experts and delegates from forty-one countries, including the thirteen member states of the UN's Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, are discussing challenges related to sustaining the Middle East's rich mineral resources including petroleum, and in some places like Lebanon, water." "The conference is taking place at a time when "Israel" is admitting its' occupation forces in the south are stealing fertile top soil and there is mounting evidence that "Israel" is doing the same to Lebanese water". "The National Council for Scientific Research confirmed "Israel" has been stealing Lebanese natural resources."

"Dr. Mohammed Khawlie, Director of National Council for Scientific Research, told FTV: "this is adding to the environmental deterioration that "Israel" has already inflicted on very large extent in south Lebanon in terms of forest fires destruction of natural resources, and now of course we do not forget the stealing of water resources and now we have fertile soil. What we can do as the scientific community is making use of platforms of international platform like this one and make sure that international presence and aware of what is going on in the south, and aware of the negative deeds of "Israel"". That seems necessary, since leading experts in the field of geology and mineral wealth seemed surprised that was going on. Dr. William Fyfe, Department of Earth Science, University of Western Ontario, told FTV: Lebanon is suffering from a problem which is there has been confirmation that "Israel" is stealing fertile top soil from the south. Dr. Fyfe responded: "dreadful, it reduces your capacity to grow food, it reduces the capacity of the soil to hold water I have seen this in many places this should not be happening. "Israel" has admitted to the theft of fertile soil from occupied south Lebanon, but has blamed its citizens of hauling the soil to the northern Galilee region. But that is highly unlikely for "Israelis" to transfer the soil across the border without the knowledge of the "Israeli" army."
