Hizbullah told Future Television "Israel" is facing defeat

" For the past two days, "Israel" jets were staging mock air raids and breaking the sound barrier over Beirut and south Lebanon. But there were no low level flights today. Sheikh Nabil Kawook," "Hizbullah's southern military commander told Future Television "Israel" did not achieve anything. They are facing defeat, and they have very limited options. Kawook also believed the US wants to intrude Lebanese politics to promote the "Israeli" point of view concerning the implementation of UN resolution 425."

" It was a quiet morning for the residents of Qabrikha, one of many southern villages situated on the front line. Less than a kilometer of uninhabited land separates this village from "Israeli" manned outposts. Qabrikha often comes under attack. During the past few days, "Israel" has increased its air activity in the area. Warplanes have been shaking areas in the south and Beirut. When "Israeli" warplanes flew over the village I ran for shelter, this boy says. They always shell the village. But this morning, there were no "Israeli" planes in the skies except for the drone which constantly surveys the area. Abbas Awala, local said: this week there was a lot of tension, air activity in this region. But the locals are carrying on with their business. UN peacekeeping troops stationed in Qabrikha also monitor the situation. These peacekeepers have been in the south since 1978. Irish battalion information officer, Comdt. Kieran mcdaid said that when tension rises people's fear rises they fear extra activity. I have noticed there is speculation about as to what may transpire but people are getting on with their daily lives. Life goes on in the south despite daily "Israeli" aggressions. And the recent low level supersonic flights over the south and Beirut have been described as an attempt by "Israel" to intimidate Lebanon. According to Sheikh Nabil Kawook, the Hizbullah resistance movement's southern military commander "Israel's" low-level flights over Beirut and the south did not achieve anything. They thought those loud bangs would scare us. It may have frightened a few children, he added but whatever goals they were trying to achieve did not work".

"They do not have many options left in the south. "Israel" suffered heavy defeats in the south last month. It lost seven soldiers in a 10-day period. Four in a roadside bomb attack carried out by Hizbullah fighters near this position facing Qabrikha. Alarm bells rang in "Israel". Politicians and military officials met to review their policy in Lebanon. They only agreed to disagree on what to do next. Sheikh Kawook said "Israel" has been unable to split the Lebanese and Syrian tracks in peace negotiations. He also believed the United States is trying to intrude into Lebanese politics and assist the Jewish state in promoting its proposal to conditionally withdraw from south Lebanon. "Israel's" latest campaign is according to observers nothing but a show of force. That campaign has not achieved anything. Lebanon has vowed resistance will continue until occupation ends. It also has not changed its position. It wants "Israel" to withdraw unconditionally in line with UN resolution 425".
