Pro-Israeli
espionage ring uncovered
A pro-Israeli spy ring was recently uncovered in the South after its members were found to have links with Israel, security sources reported Friday. The ring is said to comprise both Lebanese and Palestinians, including two high-ranking members of the Fatah faction of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat. The members of the ring are being questioned by local authorities. They reportedly include Sami Akkawi and Mohammed Ali Obeid as well as former members of the Israeli-proxy militia and the Lebanese Forces.
