Introduction
Head of Hizbullah's Politburo MP Mohammad Raad warned that the Islamic Resistance (IR) had a special type of retaliation in store if the "Israeli" enemy targets Lebanon's infrastructure again.

As to the visit paid by US Secretary of State Albright, a Hizbullah official commented that Albright came to Beirut in order to relieve the "Israelis" with calls such as self restraint, thus, ignoring the reasons, like military aggressions, massacres and unlawful detentions, that are causing the Lebanese people to suffer.

Meanwhile, the April Understanding committee condemned the "Israeli" violations by shelling Western Beqaa last week, killing two civilians and wounding three others.

Raad: IR had a special type of retaliation in store…(1)
"Nabatieh MP Mohammed Raad, who also heads Hizbullah’s politburo, said Monday that the resistance had a “special type of retaliation in store” if "Israel" targets Lebanon’s infrastructure again.

“In case the enemy stages new infrastructure assaults, our retaliation will be different…,” Raad was quoted as saying by the Hizbullah-run Al-Nour radio. He did not specify what form the response would take, merely adding that Hizbullah was “ready for this response.”

Raad said that Hizbullah had expected "Israel" to bomb Lebanon’s infrastructure in response to last week’s Katyusha attack on northern Galilee. The attack, in which around 25 Katyusha rockets and mortar rounds were fired, was a reprisal for an earlier "Israeli" bombardment in which two civilians were killed.

“But the enemy denied the Katyusha rockets landed on its settlements so as not to have to come up with a response,” Raad said.

Hizbullah: Albright tries to provoke and searches for any opportunity to relieve the “"Israelis"”…(2)
"A Hizbullah official commented on the statements of the US secretary of state Albright by saying that: before the blood of the innocent Lebanese civilians has dried as a result of the continuous Zionist aggression on Lebanon, the US secretary of state presented us with a number of positions sealed within them are conditions of the “"Israelis"” which reflect their agony following the Islamic Resistance’s operations.

"He also added that: Albright came to Beirut looking for opportunities to relieve the “"Israelis"” with calls such as “self restraint”. With that she ignored the reason that is causing the Lebanese people to suffer, it being the terrorist acts of the “"Israelis"” represented by its occupation, the massacres it commits and the unlawful detentions it practices daily all that with the knowledge of the American administration and the UN. With all that the US secretary of state comes to us and does not even mention the occupation or its agony it reflects on the daily Lebanese life. In that she tries to delude the public opinion that her administration is on the side of the Lebanese government. We in Hizbullah declare that we shall continue in our resistance that has proved that it is the only way in which we can liberate our land. And the American administration should realize that her policy of supporting the occupation will not benefit her but instead it will plant hate in the hearts of all nations.

"Finally, we wonder at this strange American behavior that accompanied the visit, which would be disrespectful to any sovereign state with regards to the security arrangements, noting that Beirut and Lebanon are much safer than New York itself".

"Israel" condemned by truce panel…(3)
"The five-nation Monitoring Group condemned "Israel" on Monday for violating the April Understanding by shelling the Western Beqaa last week, killing two civilians and wounding three others.

"The group also accused "Israel" of violating the understanding on six other counts, all for inflicting civilian casualties or damaging property.

"The group, comprising delegates from Lebanon, Syria, France, "Israel" and the U.S., convened in Naqoura at 10am to assess 10 complaints.

"Lebanon lodged seven, all dealing with civilian casualties or damage to civilian property.

The final statement from the group said that two civilians were killed, three others wounded and 11 houses, a shop, two cars and a watertank were damaged when "Israeli" and SLA* militia artillery units shelled Libbaya.

“The group considered this action a violation of the understanding and condemned it,” the statement said.

"Israel's" protests consisted of two allegations of the resistance staging attacks from civilian areas and one for a mortar round that exploded south of the border two weeks ago.

The group noted that the mortar shell had overshot its target, the Blat outpost, and, although “unintended,” failed “to conform to the provisions of the understanding.”

Significantly, the "Israelis" failed to lodge a complaint for the cross-border Katyusha and mortar barrage last week. The "Israeli" Army claimed to have found no evidence that Katyushas had landed in "Israel", although several mortar rounds did explode across the border. However, Saturday, the "Israelis" conceded that one Katyusha rocket had been fired but crashed inside the occupation zone damaging the border fence.

"In conclusion, the group “expressed its concern over these recent incidents and urged that the highest priority be given to the protection of civilians and civilian property, as provided in the understanding.”

President Lahud: Peace calls for the immediate "Israeli" withdrawal…(4)
"President Emil Lahud confirmed the Lebanese firm position regarding peace in the Middle East, saying that in order to achieve peace, "Israel" must withdraw without any condition in accordance with resolution 425 and to withdraw from the entire Golan until the borders of the 4th of June 1967. He also added that the negotiations should commence from the point it halted in 1996 and in accordance with the Madrid principles. President Lahud’s speech came at the closing of the French speaking nations summit in Canada, the members of the summit unanimously agreed for the next summit to be held in Lebanon in the years 2001 under the title “Dialogue of the Cultures”.

Military Operations…(5)
The Islamic Resistance (IR) unit of martyrs Hassan Qassem Aqil and Ossama Rida Hammoudi attacked, at 12:45, enemy movements at Jamoussa post, HQ of the 80th Brigade, with the rocket-propelled grenades. Direct hits were scored, the mujahedeen reported.

Also, the IR team of martyrs Hassan Mohammad Abdel-Jalil and Ibrahim Khalil Farhat targeted, at 15:00, an "Israeli" infantry force at Kassaret Al-Oroush compound with the machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades. The militants managed to chalk up direct and definite goals.

Earlier, Amal movement shelled, at 6:05, Baraasheit compound with a number of 81mm rounds.

* It is an "Israeli" nomination we absolutely reject for it contradicts with Lebanon's independence and sovereignty. This army is not but an "Israeli" agent working for realizing "Israel's" goals in Lebanon.
