Libbaya residents in grief after two youths killed...(1)
"The Katyusha rocket attacks on northern "Israel" came in response to the killing of two Lebanese teenagers and the wounding of two other civilians. A Hizbullah deputy today (yesterday) reaffirmed the group will hit back twice as hard at any "Israeli" attack against civilians. We visited the site of the carnage in the western Beqaa".
" (AMBIANCE of funeral, men and women wailing, close up of bodies... anti-"Israel" chants.. family yelling the names of the dead and crying) "Israel" killed them. 18 year old Hassan Akl and 19 year old Fatme Jeble are the latest victims of "Israeli" attacks on Lebanon. They were killed when around 100 shells were fired into this western Beqaa village, Libbaya and neighbouring areas bordering the zone "Israel" occupies in south Lebanon. "Israel" blamed the attack on what it called unruly "Israeli" allied militiamen. But those militiamen are trained and controlled by the "Israeli" army. When the first rockets hit the village, Hassan attempted to take shelter but shrapnel hit him right here. He died on the spot. Fatme bore the brunt of the shell that hit her home. Her blood and flesh were splashed throughout the house. (NS: Neighbour saying: when the "Israeli" shelling started we panicked. Everyone was running. Hassan and my daughters were sitting next to our house. He rushed. Seconds later we saw him dying. His stomach was all out.) A stream of villagers has been visiting the site of the carnage. (Mosque village ambiance mountain) Libbaya residents say shells all afternoon yesterday rained down on their village destroying 20 homes. BRIDGE: "Israel" frequently pounds these valleys. The attack on this village Libbaya follows a successful resistance operation that killed two "Israeli" allied militiamen at the Zimraya border crossing some five kilometers southeast of here. The attack was a painful blow for the occupation forces due to its proximity to the strategic towns and villages inside the occupation zone. Zimraya which is located at the foot of this hill is about 10 kilometers from Marjeyoun where "Israel" bases its occupation activities in southern Lebanon. While people living in this western and southern Beqaa region are used to "Israeli" shelling, (woman being carried away crying) Libbaya villagers were stunned by what they described as the ferocity of yesterday's attack. Nour Akl, the cousin of Hassan who died in the attack says it is only the second time since 1996 that "Israeli" attacks target deep inside the village. In 1996, "Israel" committed itself to an internationally brokered cease-fire that prohibits attacks on and from civilian areas but permits the resistance to target "Israeli" troops and their local allies. Akl is worried that yesterday's attack may become a pattern. So is Jadallah Makki. (NS: Makki saying: we are used to "Israel" committing massacres in Lebanon.. they have attacked innocent civilians who have nothing to do with the military activity that took place in Zimraya... despite these cowardly "Israeli" attacks we will remain steadfast). The upcoming winter will be especially tough for Said Akl, who virtually lost everything his family owns in yesterday's shelling. His daughters' hair salon, his chickens and animals, and all the food stuffs his wife prepared for next year, went up in smoke. But they say they are thankful the shrapnel that caused damage to their bedrooms did not hurt them. People in Libbaya, (damaged house: through) who have been living under the shadow of "Israeli" occupation for the past 21 years, with all the wars and (cows and sheep) the difficult economic situation arising from the ongoing conflict, face the task of cleaning up from yet another "Israeli" blitz. They have also lost two of the village's youth".

"Israeli" Aggressions…(2)
The Islamic Resistance (IR) issued a statement in which it reported the following aggressions which were launched by the "Israeli" occupying forces:
1:35, four 155mm missiles hit the perimeters of Zawtar town.
1:45, the west of Yater village was shelled by seven 155mm missiles.
1:50, three 155mm missiles landed Jib Soweid area.
1:55, Qaissieh Valley was targeted by seven 155mm missiles.
Between 2:10 and 3:05, the peripheries of Kfar Dounine town came under fifteen 155mm missiles.
2:30, the "Israeli" fighter-bombers staged a sortie into the perimeters of Kfar Dounine.
2:45, five 155mm missiles struck the peripheries of Choukine-Jibsheit.

Military Operations…(3)
The Islamic Resistance (IR) unit of martyrs Hussein Qabalan and Ahmad Fouani attacked, at 15:00, an "Israeli" force of one Merkava tank and an infantry group. The militants, who used the rocket-propelled grenades, were able to score direct and definite goals.

Martyrs…(4)
The IR announced proudly the martyrdom of the militant Hassan Qassem Aqil, born at Jebbain in 1970, married with two children, joined the IR ranks in 1989, participated with several cultural and military courses and shared with a number of military operations. He was martyred on 2-9-1999 in the course of performing his Islamic sacred duty.
