Army chief on Independence Day: "Israel" is the enemy, Resistance is source of pride…(1)
“Army chief Gen Michel Suleiman addressed his forces on the 56th Independence Day saying, "If Independence is represented by liberating the soil, it is more so in the strong national will to liberate the soil, this will which is embodied today in the state, the army, the people and the courageous Resistance."

“Your coherent army upholds a national message which has been established by your heroic steadfastness in the south and the western Beqaa where you have confronted the enemy's aggressions in spite of the imbalance of (each side's) means. You have not been intimidated by the enemy's threats as you presented martyrs to defend the soil on the grounds of the national creed that identifies "Israel" as the historical enemy of the soil, Suleiman said.

"This enemy is trying to strike our security and to single us out with all means, using deceit and slyness, talking about peace plans while taking the roads of conspiracy and aggressions.

"These plots, however, will not fool you; therefore, cling to your right to defend the land and back the national resistance which has become the pride and dignity of all the Lebanese.

"Let your eyes be wide open, always on the alert to safeguard the security, realizing that you are in a state governed by law, he said.

“The unity of fate that unites us with Assad's Syria is a fact based on history and geography and enhanced by common interests in the face of an enemy that has always tried to untie this unity. However, our stand is firm and will never change”, the army chief concluded.

“Israeli” Aggressions…(2)
The “Israeli” occupation forces launched the following aggressions:
00:00, Slouqi Valley was targeted by one 120mm shell and a volley of 12.7mm heavy machine gun bullets whereas the area between Talloussa and Houla was hit by one 120mm shell. At the same time, a barrage of 12.7mm heavy machine gun rounds struck Markaba woodland.
Between 16:25 and 16:40, Mount Sojod was bombarded by five 120mm shells and four 155mm missiles.
17:50, thirteen 81mm flare rounds were fired over Rihan and Aishieh areas.

Military Operations…(3)
The IR team of martyrs Ali Abdallah Moghnieh and Abbas Mohammad Aqil attacked, at 11:30, Lahdi movements at Baraasheit compound with the appropriate weapons scoring direct hits.

Also, the IR unit of martyrs Ahmad Chehab and Hussein Abbas Nazar targeted, at 13:00, Baraasheit compound as the “Israeli” agents were trying to extinguish the blazes erupted in its northern fortification. The mujahedeen managed to chalk up direct and accurate goals.

Moreover, the IR squad of martyrs Ahmad Khalifeh and Haidar Ahmad targeted, at 16:20, Sojod outpost with the machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades scoring direct hits.

Earlier, the fighters of the Lebanese Resistance Brigades (LRB) attacked, at 00:05, Mohaisbat position with the rocket-propelled grenades chalking up certain goals.
