suspicious objects
(1)
Lebanese security forces have warned against suspicious objects that
had been thrown by the Israeli occupation's warplanes last night and
this morning in the areas adjacent to the front lines between the liberated
areas and those occupied by the Israeli forces.
Such objects were discovered in the woods of Ain Bousoir, Jarjoua (Iqleem al-Toffah), and Wadi al-Qaissieh (mid sector).
Two of the occupation's warplanes at 11:25 raided the Daidaba Hilltops (western Beqaa) firing a number of air to ground missiles.
In Iqlim al-Tuffah, Monday night was one of Israeli raids and fear.
Ten raids were staged at the outskirts of Jbaa, Jarjou, woods of Sojod, Oqmata, Mount Abou Rkab.
The explosions of the enemy missiles caused damage in the neighboring villages and houses. One rocket that exploded at the entrance of Jibaa shattered the windows of tens of houses. No casualties were reported.
The enemy's artillery today (yesterday) used phosphorus incendiary bombs in shelling the Mazlam Wadi (west of Beit Leef - South of Yater, south-east Tyre).
For its part, the IR issued a statement in which it reported the following

Occupation officers check on disputing militia
(3)
A number of the Israeli occupation officers checked the position's
of the proxy militia in Hasbaya and held meetings with militia commanders
and members amidst strict security measures that included closure of the
Zimraya crossing to maintain the secrecy of the visit and its goals.
Reports said there was a clash inside the Zoghle outpost between some of the outpost's militiamen and newly-recruited Ayad al-Shufi over "regional belonging".
The occupation's officers took al-Shufi who had been detained in one of the Zoghleh outpost's room to al-Khiam detention center to investigate the reasons behind the clash, the reports added.

Wild goose chase after Israels boar
battalions
(5)
Israels occupation of south Lebanon has generated unusual stories
in the past but surely none more bizarre than a report that the Israeli
Army employs wild boar to track down resistance fighters entering the zone.
The tale, carried by the respected London-based Foreign Report weekly, lends weight to the recent disclosure that the Israeli Army has been planting scare stories about Hizbullah and Iran in the foreign, Arabic and Israeli press to justify the continued occupation of the south.
Some imaginative frontline villagers have long suspected the Israelis of deliberately training wild boar to destroy their crops.
But even they doubt that Israeli troops have been scampering around the steep wadis on the edge of the zone to catch the pigs and deploy them against infiltrating guerrilla squads.
Foreign Report, admittedly with a raised eyebrow, quoted Israeli security sources as saying that captured pigs are being equipped with collars containing an array of electronic equipment.
The boar are then released back into the dense thickets along the edge of the occupation zone.
The Israelis are able to track the movements of the pigs electronically. The clincher, however, is the mini-microphone attached to the collar.
Wild boar, apparently, give a distinctive grunt when detecting the presence of humans. Thus, if Hizbullah guerrillas on an operation in the zone bump into a member of the boar battalion, the Israelis pick up the warning grunt on the microphone, check the location of the animal on the monitor and act accordingly.
In a setback to the normally well-informed Foreign Report, the publication was cited last week, along with Paris-based Al-Watan al-Arabi newspaper, as having been duped into running falsified stories by the Israeli Armys psychological warfare unit.
According to Israels Haaretz newspaper, the unit has planted stories in these publications, among others, to back military intelligence assessments that Iran is the greatest threat to Israel.
Attempting to prove the veracity of the wild boar story is a little more than a wild goose chase. Nonetheless, it neatly coincides with tales circulating in some southern villages of Hebrew-inscribed ear tags being found on wild boar killed by local farmers.
Ive heard about metal tags on their ears but nothing about collars, said Sabah Mansour, 34, in Qabrikha on the edge of the zones central sector.
Qabrikha lies beside Wadi Salouqi which is home to numerous wild boar that prey on the crops of local farmers.
A group of old men nod sagely at the mention of Israeli-trained boar destroying crops. The Israelis do this to harm our livelihoods. They leave the tags on the animals because they dont care if theyre recognized, said one man.
Although all had heard of the ear tags, none had seen them. As for the porcine patrols, it was Mohammed Darwish, who injected some reality into the yarn.
The pigs came from a farm in Israel, he said. Darwish, 70, recalled how dozens of boar had escaped from a farm in northern Galilee years ago and crossed the border into Lebanon. They bred with the local wild pig population and their offspring continue to roam the wadis of the south.
Maybe the original animals had metal tags but they must have all died by now, he said.
A reasonable explanation perhaps, but for one old man it was a little too convenient.
The Jews dont eat pork. So what were they doing rearing pigs? he asked pointedly. The plot thickens.
