IR wounds "Israeli" officer in a fresh qualitative blow…(1)
"The Islamic Resistance (IR) has dealt a new qualitative blow to the "Israeli" occupation army's "elite".

"In their continuous drive to expel the "Israeli" occupation army and liberate the country, IR Mujahedeen were the heroes of a new epic when squad of Martyrs Ali Ashmar and al-Horr al-Amili of Martyr Hadi Nasrallah's unit in the Special Forces (at 3:00 a.m. Saturday) prepared a well-set ambush for a large "Israeli" foot patrol at Mount Abou Rkab".

"When the enemy patrol reached the ambush spot, the Mujahedeen showered it from close distance with machine gun fire and rocket propelled grenades".

"The clashes went on for around an hour, during which the Resistance men managed to penetrate into the middle of the Zionist foot patrol whose members scattered in panic after a number of them were wounded or killed, an IR statement read.

"In the meantime, the enemy engaged its helicopter gunships in the battle to back up the targeted patrol and evacuate its casualties. But the Resistance's air defense artillery intercepted the enemy aircraft and prevented it from landing and assisting the targeted force.

"At 4:00 a.m., the enemy brought in another foot patrol to assist the first one and evacuate the casualties. It was attacked by IR's squad of Martyr Haitham Dbouq that used the appropriate weapons and inflicted more casualties in the enemy ranks.

"The occupation had to involve its helicopters once again, but these were also confronted by IR's Artillery Reinforcement Unit (ARU) which obstructed their mission and forced them to retreat.

"In the meantime, squads of Martyrs Mohammed Ali al-Husseini, Ali Yahia Khalil, Hussein Hassan Hayek, Mousa Habib Fahs, and Youssef Faqih were striking the enemy forces in the outposts of Kassaret al-Oroush, al-Rihan Hilltops, al-Zaffateh and Sojod.

"The Mujahedeen used the appropriate weapons in the attacks and scored direct hits while preventing the enemy forces from assisting the two targeted units.

"Meanwhile, squad of Martyrs Ahmed Rizq and Munir Smaha of ARU targeted enemy force in Kfar Houna, as squad of Martyrs Samir Melhem and Ali al-Anqoni attacked a Zionist force at the Kfar Houna - Bir Kallab triangle.

"The Mujahedeen used the adequate arms in both attacks and scored definite hits.

Earlier, squad of Martyrs Mohammed Safieddine and Khalil Oulayyan at 00:10 Saturday attacked an "Israeli" force in Kassaret al-Oroush outpost, while squad of Martyrs Mohammed Darbaj and Haidar Salhab pounded another motorized force at al-Rihan Hilltops, and squad of Martyrs Hussien Haidar and Ali Ismail attacked the Bir Kallab outpost.

"The Mujahedeen used machine guns and rocket propelled grenades in the three attacks, scoring direct hits".

Later at 23:05, the IR group of martyrs Mohammad Bashir and Hassan Shamas attacked enemy movements near Beaufort Castle with the proper weapons chalking up direct goals.

"In occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) an "Israeli" army spokesman said "during the exchange of fire an "Israeli" officer was wounded."

"According to "Israeli" acknowledgments, ten "Israeli" soldiers were killed and another 31 were injured in IR operations since the beginning of this year."

"It is worth noting that IR killed and injured nearly one third of the 150 elite Egoz unit's officers and soldiers in the "Israeli" occupation army in seven operations staged during the last two and half years.

"IR's statistics showed that 18 Egoz members were killed and 24 others were wounded in IR operations in the period between October 1996 and June 1999"…(1)

"The Four Mothers and Red Line organizations demonstrated on Friday in Tel Aviv in support of a unilateral withdrawal from Lebanon following the death of Lt. Keller. Aharon Barnea, whose son Noam was killed in Lebanon two months ago, said: "The truth is that the sacrifices have been unnecessary ... No one can any longer explain and justify the logic behind this sacrifice"…(2).

Ambassador Abboud: "Israeli" pullout from Jezzine result of Resistance…(3)
"Lebanese Ambassador to Washington Farid Abboud said the withdrawal of the "Israeli" occupation and its proxy militia from the Jezzine area was the natural outcome of the military defeat inflicted on them by the Islamic Resistance".

"Ambassador Abboud was speaking at the annual conference of the Arab American Anti Discrimination Committee in Washington".

"The Resistance's effort, the solid determination of the government and the Syrian support to the Resistance and the government were the reasons behind the occupation's defeat, Abboud noted, stressing that the pullout was not a political move in the context of "Jezzine first".

"Moreover, Abboud pointed out that predictions about revenge acts in Jezzine proved wrong, for Jezzine residents are enjoying more security than the situation in the past".
