IR breaks throw "Israeli" security measures
The Islamic Resistance (IR) men managed to penetrate the "Israeli" complicated procedures and to plant a roadside bomb between the border posts of Abbad and Manara. As an "Israeli" Pullman military vehicle was traveling near the determined spot, the IR team of martyrs Hussein Mahmoud Qabalan and Ahmad Abdel-Hassan Fouani detonated, at 12:00, the explosive device scoring direct and certain hits…(1)

"The "Israeli" Haaretz newspaper claimed that only one "Israeli" soldier was lightly wounded yesterday by a roadside bomb that exploded just one kilometer from Kibbutz Manara along the Lebanese border. The 1 P.M. blast was the second attack near the frontier within the last 10 days and came only a few meters north of the border fence on the section linking the IDF's* Ziporin position and Kibbutz Manara.

"The IDF suspects that Hizbullah operatives were behind the attack.

"The bomb was detonated near a light transport vehicle on its way to pick up paratroopers stationed at the position. The explosives were planted close to the border fence on the Lebanese side and apparently blown up by remote control from within the security zone. The vehicle, which was occupied by the driver and a paratrooper, was damaged lightly.

"Brigadier General Moshe Kaplinsky, surmised that "the bomb was detonated from several kilometers away and apparently from outside the security zone"…(2)

One hour before, the IR squad of martyrs Mohammad Taqi Sahrani and Taha Ahmad Hussein rushed upon Sojod compound with the machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades. Direct and definite goals were chalked up, the militants reported.

In the meantime, the IR group of martyrs Anis Ahmad Jaber and Naameh Abdel-Monhem Haidoura was falling upon Bir Kallab outpost. Using the machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, the mujahedeen managed to score direct hits…(3)
