Hizbullah holds US responsible for "Israeli" massacres…(1)
Hizbullah's Faithfulness to the Resistance (FTR) bloc member MP Dr Hussein al-Hajj Hassan reiterated criticizing the American ambassador David Satterfield's statements and movements.

Speaking at an Iftar held by the Committee for Supporting the Islamic Resistance (CSIR) in the Beqaa town of Shaath, al-Hajj Hassan stressed that "this ambassador who always interferes in our affairs will not succeed in his movements that aim to beautify the American policy and cover the "Israeli" massacres in the region."

The fingerprints of the American deadly weapons and the US political coverage exist in the "Israeli" massacres in Qana, Bahr al-Baqar, Deir Yassine, Kfar Qassem, Sohmor and scores of other massacres, he said.

The Hizbullah MP was responding to comments made by the US ambassador who was reported to have "advised" a Lebanese official not to raise the issue of the Palestinian refugees and Lebanon's insistence on their return to their homeland at the potential negotiations with the "Israeli" entity, because ""Israel" will reject this and may take steps that does not please Lebanon," according to Satterfield.

The sources that relayed the news said the American ambassador tried to intimidate the Lebanese official and told him that Lebanon should give up the idea of demanding compensations for the damage inflicted on it through a continuous "Israeli" aggression since 1948; otherwise the "Israelis" may think of "steps that can harm Lebanon".

"Israel" to release 22 from Khiam…(2)
""Israel" has agreed to release 22 Lebanese detainees from Khiam prison, Lebanon’s chief representative at the truce-monitoring committee in the south announced on Monday.

"In a statement, Brigadier Maher Toufeili said he informed President Emile Lahoud and Prime Minister Salim Hoss about the development, adding that the detainees will be handed over to the authorities via the International Committee for the Red Cross.

"He did not say exactly when the detainees will be released. “It will be in a few days,” he said.

More than 170 detainees are held at Khiam, which is run by "Israel's" proxy militia, the South Lebanon Army, and is notorious for poor conditions and the torture of detainees.

"On Dec. 27, "Israel" released five Lebanese from prisons in the Jewish state".
