"An-Nahar newspaper quoted southern sources as saying that "due to
the inability of the collaborators' militia to stay in the Jezzine area;
as it is impossible to deploy "Israeli" units permanently in the area due
to political and military reasons; and in the absence of a minimum Jezzine
cover for the collaborators, the proxy militia's command, and consequently
the "Israeli" occupation, has no choice other than a sudden withdrawal
without guarantees or agreements."
"Jezzine has actually turned from a card in the hands of "Israel" and its collaborators to pressure the resistance and the Lebanese state into a card in the hands of the resistance and the state to use against the occupation", the daily quoted the sources as saying.
"The newspaper said "if and when it takes place, a withdrawal is expected to include all the Jezzine villages, except for the Kfar Houna Gate, which is regarded by the occupation forces as a strategic outpost overlooking the Mount Barouk and as a stage for launching aggression in the event of certain developments."
"In its issue, an-Nahar quoted sources as expecting a sudden withdrawal by the collaborators from Jezzine."
"For its part as-Safir daily said the "Israeli" occupation forces' aggressions at the Rihan-Kfar Houna -Ain Majdaleen came in the aftermath of unusual "Israeli" movements at the Rihan sector as vehicles were moving between the Jezzine area posts and those in the Rihan - Aishieh area. "
"Observer sources believe the occupation army is reducing its vehicles and equipment at the Jezzine front towards the Aishieh - Rihan", the daily said.
"The sources estimate that the "Israeli" presence in the Jezzine area has been reduced to a quarter, which may indicate a complete "Israeli" withdrawal from Jezzine is to take place within the next few days", the newspaper added.
"The possibility is enhanced by the fact that some Lahd militia officers of the Jezzine battalion have registered their children in schools in Marjeyoun and its surroundings. They have also moved to these areas as well" the paper concluded.
