Introduction
The Islamic Resistance's military qualitative bang against the "Israeli"
motorized patrol near Deir Siryan town had engendered an "Israeli" backlash.
The successful attack, in which two "Israeli" soldiers were killed and
three others wounded, led to opening military investigation.
Meanwhile, the "Israeli" occupation forces made a fresh violation of the April 1996 Understanding through shelling the residential quarters of Qilya and Dallafeh villages.
"Israel's" Army starts probe of killing two soldiers and injuring
three others
The heavy human losses inflicted the "Israeli" troops stationed in
South Lebanon two days ago prompted confusion inside the "Israeli" military
establishment and among "Israel's" officials. The daily "Israeli" Ha'aretz
newspaper (1) reported that military commission of inquiry was appointed
to investigate what it claimed as a "fatal armored vehicle crash in South
Lebanon that left two soldiers dead, while senior army officers rejected
calls to turn over the investigation of military accidents to external
bodies".
"Sergeants Omer Eshed, from Kfar Saba, and Eran Ariel, from Jerusalem were laid in military cemeteries in their hometowns", the daily said.
"The commander of the Northern Command, Major-General Gabi Ashkenazi, appointed Colonel Dror Rofe to head an extensive investigation of the Rosh Hashanah accident in the eastern sector of South Lebanon Security Zone". The commission's findings will be submitted to Major-General Ashkenazi", Ha'aretz added.
In a clear evidence of inventing false results at the end f the investigation,
"senior military sources said that the investigation is expected to be difficult because the armored vehicle was destroyed in the accident and the two main witnesses to the accident - Ariel and Eshed - were killed. It appears that the soldiers who got off the vehicle shortly before it plunged into the ravine did not notice any unusual event that could explain the accident".
In an indication to the suspected findings that can be reached by the military institution, Ha'aretz added that "several MKs, including Ran Cohen (Meretz) and Ra'anan Cohen (Labor) demanded that the accident investigation be taken out of the army's hands. Ran Cohen said that "there is no escaping the conclusion that every commission of inquiry must include an outside professional expert."

Christian Leagues: Solution is "Israel" and Collaborators' Withdrawal
(4)
"Union of Lebanese Christian Leagues (ULCL) said the prelude for any
solution in Jezzine is the withdrawal of "Israel" and all its tools from
Jezzine and all Lebanese territories."
"Resistance is an absolute right, ULCL said after a meeting headed by Pierre Helou."
"The steadfastness of Jezzine's residents must be supported and the town's residents must not be displaced," ULCL added.
"Elsewhere, Australian based Lebanon Watch underlined that the militia allied with "Israel" is the only obstacle preventing a Lebanese-army deployment in Jezzine."
"In a statement distributed to humanitarian and diplomatic bodies through the world wide web, the group denounced the suppressive measures taken by the collaborator militia."
