Introduction
Today, a main victory has been achieved by the Islamic Resistance (IR) men as the "Israeli" proxy militiamen had retreated and evacuated Toumat Niha post, east of Jezzine. The collaborators' step this is a clear and further evidence of the powerless and ineffectiveness of the "Israeli" occupation forces and their agents.

MP Khatib said that this withdrawal is a result of the resistance's painful strikes.
In this regard, Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Ataollah Mohajerani reiterated his country's unequivocal support to Lebanon in its drive to regain sovereignty and liberate territories occupied by "Israel" in the South and Western Beqaa.

Another IR Qualitative Achievement: Occupation and Collaborators Abandon the Toumat Niha Outpost
"Israeli" occupation forces and their proxy militia yesterday evacuated the Toumat Niha outpost (western Beqaa) after a long series of Islamic Resistance (IR) operations which killed or wounded scores of occupation troops and collaborator militiamen."

"The occupation forces created a new outpost in Ain Majdaleen (near Jezzine) more than 4 kilometers deeper into the occupied zone.'

"The "Israeli" occupation command decided to evacuate the Toumat Niha outpost after collaborators' command refused to have the militiamen man the outpost without occupation troops with them", security sources said.

"Over 50 collaborator militiamen were killed or wounded in Toumat Niha over the last five years and the collaborators' command could not recruit militiamen to man the outpost."

"The collaborator militia acknowledged that it had withdrawn from the strategic position, which is more than 2,000 meters high and overlooks Sraireh."

"Before leaving, the militia blew up the position which is north of the occupation zone and between the town of Jezzine and south of the eastern Beqaa valley."

"The militia claimed that the position had been dynamited as part of a relocation without providing further details."

"The withdrawal from the position makes it easier for resistance guerrillas and Lebanese soldiers in Maidoun to enter the villages of Sraireh and Qatrani at least three kilometers below", Agence France Presse said.

"These two villages which are 1,000 meters high overlook the city of Marjeyoun which is where the militia and the "Israeli" army has its headquarters. They also look down on the village of Kfar Houna which controls access between the occupation zone and the Jezzine area."

"The collaborator militia this morning acknowledged that one of its militiamen was wounded in the attack staged by IR men last night on the al-Ahmadieh outpost (western Beqaa).

Meanwhile, reports from the occupied enclave of Jezzine said a state of "great panic and confusion" is prevailing in the ranks of the collaborators and their officers."

"The proxy militia has reinforced its outposts in Ain Majdaleen, Kfar Houna and Kroum al-Arz"… (1)

For its part, The Daily Star (2) reported that the redeployment comes at a time when the "Israeli" army appears to have lost the initiative in the south while the resistance, encouraged by "Israel’s" uncertainty over the occupation and the crumbling morale of the (so-called) SLA, is set to broaden its ranks by including groups that have not played an active military role for years.

"The ("Israeli" proxy militia) has reportedly taken up a new position at Ain Majdelain, 2km to the south, having dynamited its old position at Toumat Niha."

“The repeated painful blows struck against Toumat Niha are the main cause of the collapse in the militiamen’s morale,” Hizbullah said.

"The 1,700-metre-high hilltop post, which was established in 1985 by the "Israelis", has commanding views of the western Beqaa to the east, Jezzine to the west and the central sector to the south.
Toumat Niha’s primary role was to act as an observation post to provide early warning of resistance activity to Israeli troops stationed at Kfar Houna, 5km southwest at the southern end of the Jezzine enclave."

"According to a statement by Hizbullah, 44 attacks had been staged on or around the post since February 1987. Eleven of them were carried out this year in which eight militiamen were killed and three wounded."

"A senior security source argued that the (collaborators) would not have redeployed from Toumat Niha without "Israeli" approval.

“The "Israelis" don’t care whether the (agents militia) takes a hammering at Toumat Niha,” the source said. “The (agents) would have moved posts because the "Israelis" allowed them to do so without compromising their own security.”

"However, the decision by Hizbullah’s secretary-general, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, in September 1997 to create the multi-confessional Lebanese Resistance Brigades heralded a new impetus which has gained ground in the intervening period. Expanding the resistance to other sects was an astute political move by Nasrallah and is shifting, albeit slowly, the focus of the resistance away from a Shiite-dominated movement."

"With few military options open for "Israel" and with political developments over the south at a stalemate, resistance morale has rarely been higher."

"This has been compounded by Hizbullah gaining a valuable psychological victory three weeks ago with the Katyusha strike into northern Galilee. The attack was the first heavy assault there and the first time "Israelis" have been wounded since the April war. In the past, "Israel" would have responded with a massive retaliatory bombardment. However, "Israeli" premier Benjamin Netanyahu clearly didn’t want the situation to escalate and ignored calls to bomb Lebanon’s infrastructure.

The import of Israel’s decision not to react will not have been lost on Hizbullah’s leadership and underlined the limitations on Israel’s military flexibility."

MP Khatib: Withdrawal from Toumat Niha was Fruit of Resistance Blows to the Occupation… (3)
"President of the parliamentary defense committee MP Sami al-Khatib underlined that the withdrawal of the "Israeli" enemy and its collaborators from the Toumat Niha outpost was a result of the resistance's painful blows, stressing that the occupation and collaborator forces' morale has been deteriorating for a long time."

"In a radio interview, al-Khatib called on the remaining collaborators to desert and return to the homeland. He commended the resistance's qualitative performance progress."

"Regarding the implications of the enemy's withdrawal from Toumat Niha, al-Khatib, a former defense minister, noted that the "pullout was not a mere tactical procedure, but retreat. As the enemy failed to defend its front posts, it is attempting to reinforce the rear ones which had already become exposed to the resistance."

Mohajerani: We will always Stand by our Brothers against "Israel"… (4)
"Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Ataollah Mohajerani, who arrived this morning in Beirut and held talks with the Lebanese officials, aimed at boosting ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon."

"The Iranian minister met President Elias Hrawi, Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri."

"He met with President Hrawi at the presidential palace in the presence of Information Minister Bassem al-Sabaa. After the meeting, Mohajerani stressed the will to boost bilateral ties between the two countries, hoping that recent developments in Northern Iran would not have any effect on the role Iran plays in the region."

"Mohajerani, on a four-day-visit, reiterated Iran's unequivocal support for Lebanon in its drive to regain sovereignty and liberate territories occupied by "Israel" in the south and the western Beqaa."
"He is scheduled to meet with religious leaders, including Secretary General of Hizbullah his Eminence Sayed Hassan Nasrallah. The minister denied the Iranian-Afghan crisis will divert Tehran's attention from the Middle East stressing that the Islamic Republic will continue to stand by its brothers in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon in their struggle to face "Israel" and its ongoing atrocities."
