Five-Nation Monitoring Committee Condemns "Israel"… (3)
After a 15-hour meeting, the monitoring group ended its session at 1 am, condemning "Israel" for violating the April agreement.

Of the eight complaints presented to the group, the wounding of six civilians in Mashghara last week and the subsequent Katyusha strike into northern "Israel" were considered the most serious.

Last Tuesday's shelling of Mashghara also damaged 11 houses, eight cars and the electricity network.

Lebanon's other three complaints concerned property damage from shelling in Jarjoua, the wounding of  civilian in Arab Salim and damage to a house in Kfar Romman.

Col Maher Toufeili, the Lebanese delegate to the group insisted that Lebanon should not be blamed for the Katyusha strike unless "Israel" was in turn condemned for the shelling of the villages of Mashghara, Jarjoua and Arab Salim.

The group's statement also "urged "Israel" and those cooperating with it to take more effective measures to prevent their repetition, since under no circumstances should civilians be the target of such attacks".

IR Operations:
An "Israeli" soldier was wounded when fighting flared in Jabal Bassil in the Western Sector. Two "Israeli" patrols were attacked at 1:15pm by a Hizbullah unit firing machine guns and missiles, according to a statement issued by the group.

As the patrols retreated, they were ambushed by a second guerrilla unit.

An hour later, "Israeli" helicopter gunships strafed the rolling hillsides around Jabal Bassil in a bid to hit the fighters. The helicopters came under ground fire from Hizbullah's anti-aircraft units… (4)

In its statement, the IR assumed the responsibility of the following attacks:
7:15, in response to the "Israeli" aggressions on Mashghara, the IR squad of two martyrs Jamil Skaff and Abbas Bjeiji bombarded Lahd's Twentieth Brigade HQ scoring direct hits. One armored personnel carrier and one 155mm canon were damages.

At the same time, the squad of two martyrs Moussa Habib Fahs and Samer Ahmad Bshara attacked them also with the adequate weapons scoring direct hits. Monthly report over the military operations… (6)
"The monthly report issued by the Islamic Resistance (IR) stated that the military operations against the occupation forces and their collaborators in the south and the western Beqaa during August were 130 operations (23 operations more than the July operations.)"

"IR carried out 64% of these attacks, that is 83 operations; Amal movement carried out 34, the Lebanese Resistance Brigades (LRB) 12, and the Communist Party one operation."

"The most prominent of these operations were the two staged by IR on the occupation's outpost of Sojod. In the first, one of the Mujahedeen entered the outpost, clashed with its troops with the hands and came out safe."

"In the second, IR ambushed an "Israeli" foot patrol which was on its way to the Sojod outpost. One occupation soldier was killed and four others were wounded."

'Then came the Beaufort operation which led to the killing of two occupation troops in an ambush set by IR men".

"On August 25, IR fired a number of Katyusha rockets on the enemy's colonies in Northern occupied Palestine in retaliation for "Israeli" aggressions against Lebanese civilians. Around 20 colonizers were injured by the shelling, some of them were "Israeli" troops."

"These heroic operations killed 3 "Israeli" troops and wounded 18 others, all in IR operations. Collaborators' sources affirmed that two militiamen were killed and two others were wounded."

"On the other hand, the enemy acknowledged that 4 of its troops; including a pilot, were wounded in a helicopter crash, which took place yesterday as the helicopter was trying to land near the Dabsheh outpost after IR targeted enemy movements in the outpost's vicinity."

"These operations created considerable confusion inside the "Israeli" entity which appeared by the increasing calls for withdrawal from Lebanon as soon as possible".

"Meanwhile, the enemy army witnessed a number of field procedures as some of its officers were sacked and others were punished due to their failure to confront the IR Mujahedeen".

"On the other hand, there were 122 "Israeli" air, ground and sea aggressions on Lebanon."

"The aggressions targeted over 100 Lebanese areas and neighborhoods including the capital Beirut over which "Israeli" warplanes hovered".

"Enemy warplanes staged 12 air raids on areas in Iqleem Al-Tuffah and the western Beqaa, and in Naameh and the mid Beqaa."

"Moreover, enemy helicopters assassinated Resistance man Houssam al-Amin (Amal Movement). "Israeli" warplanes targeted a Lebanese army base in Maidoun burning an APC and injuring a soldier".

In other aggressions, the "Israeli" brutal attacks led to the martyrdom of Hassan Hammoudi, wounding 11 civilians.  The occupation forces and their collaborators detained 15 Lebanese people, 12 of them are Lahd militiamen.  Three Lebanese were expelled from the occupied zone".

"The "Israeli" bombardment during August damaged 44 houses, a vocational school in Mashghara, and the electricity networks in Ain Qana and Jarjoua".

Nam states back Beirut's rejection of "Israeli" conditional 425 offer… (7)

"At a two-day meeting of the movement's foreign ministers, a draft communiqué issued on Sunday said that "Israel" should implement UN Security Council Resolution 425 unconditionally as written."
""Israel's" April 1 proposal, which asked Lebanon to guarantee the security of the Israeli entity's northern borders in return for a pullout, was rejected outright as an attempt to undermine Lebanon's sovereignty".

"Boaez contacted his Egyptian, Jordanian, Iraqi, Iranian and Kuwaiti counterparts, among others, yesterday to thank them for their support."

"He also told them of "Israel's" recent threats to hit economic targets such as power stations, roads and bridges in Lebanon, in the event of attacks against its occupation forces."

Sfeir: No peace as long as "Israel" occupies parts of Lebanon… (8)
"Maronite patriarch Nasrallah Butros Sfeir yesterday underlined that Lebanon will not live in peace as "Israel" occupies parts of its south and western Beqaa".

"As long as "Israel" will not withdraw from the territories it has occupied, particularly in Lebanon, and as long as the Palestinian Israeli problem is not solved, we cannot have peace," Sfeir said.
