Israeli Repressive Actions:

The Israeli soldiers and their collaborators stormed into Hibbarieh and Fardis, Hasbaya District, and took the civilians Khazai Barakat, Talih Hassan Abou Rashed, 25, and Aiman Laqqis to Khiam detention center. At Odaisseh village also, the woman civilian Hanan Hassan El-Assaad 45, was arrested for questioning. El-Assaad is a wife of the Civil Administrative Official of Marjeyoun Kamel Abdallah, 55, who was arrested & accused, five days ago, of drug dealing between the occupied zone and Palestine.

However, the Israeli occupation forces closed, suddenly, Zaghleh-Meimes crossing point which is dedicated for the university students who were surprized by this repressive step, knowing that this crossing point had been opened a month ago after a closure for twenty years.
The students appealed the International and local officials to work quickly with the aim of reopening it as soon as possible.

Also, Odaisseh population reported, in a statement, that Israeli troops had besieged the village since January-14-1998 leading to a critical health and economical situations. Furthermore, the Israeli soldiers & their collaborators have been harassing the residents through interrogating and beating them and through searching the houses and damaging their furniture.
The population called the officials, MPs and International Red Cross Committee to do their best in order to lift the siege of Odaisseh.

At night, three connected roadside bombs exploded at the edge of Majdal Zoun village facing Hardoun outpost killing the woodcutter Mohammad Khalil Ibrahim, 45, as he entered a valley to cut firewood.
The members of Islamic Health Association recovered his body from the valley.
The tragedy had all the hallmarks of an incident in which a triple roadside bomb exploded killing three villagers from Majdal Selem village last December.
The Israeli troops and their collaborators often plant roadside bombs and land mines near residential areas. So, the civilians often fall victim to these bombs. At least seven civilians were killed and six wounded by such Israeli-made devices.

kidnapped also recently.
However, the Israeli occupation forces stopped giving permits for the residents of Fardis and Hibbarieh villages to go in and out the occupied territories.

At Yater, the "Israeli" shelling resulted in wounding the woman civilian Afaf Ali Karam, 40, in her right shoulder as she was heading from her village Yater to the Kafra Official School where she is working in her capacity as a teacher. She was moved to Jabal Amel Hospital for treatment.

Moreover, the civilian Mohammad Merhi Kourani, 87 had suffered a heart attack as the result of the bombardment. He was transported to Jabal Amel Hospital but he died on the road.

Also, at the highway between Kafra and Haris, a Mercedes car related to Dr. Maan Abadeh was hit whereas the driver miraculously survived.

So, the Israeli intelligence members kidnapped the woman civilian Manal Ibrahim, 24, and took her to Khiam detention camp for interrogation. Also, the "Israeli" collaborators stormed into Shebaa village and arrested Maher Hamdan and took him to Khiam detention camp two weeks ago.
