Allah (swt) said in The Holy Quran: "(O prophet) tell (people) If you really love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins." (Quran 3:31) Here the love of Allah is made contingent on following the orders of the Prophet of Islam. Both sides of love are included in it. If you love Allah follow the Prophet; if you follow the Prophet, Allah will love you. One must follow the Holy Prophet Mohammad (s) if one loves Allah. One must follow the Holy Prophet Mohammad (s) if one wants to be loved by Allah. In other words, as far as love of Allah is concerned, the follow-up of Holy Prophet Mohammad (s) is a pre-requsite. The Holy Prophet Mohammad (s) said: "That is, none of you is a Mumin (beliver) unless I am dearer to him than his parents, his children and all other persons." Thus, if we follow the Holy Prophet Mohammad (s) we must follow his sunnah, we must love the Holy Prophet Mohammad (s) more than anything in this world. Love is a wide term and it carries several aspects. To love the friend of beloved, is to love the beloved and To hate the enemy of beloved is to love the beloved as well. The commander of the faithful, Imam Ali said: that there are three categories of fried, namely, your friend fried of your friend and enemy of your enemy. and that there are three categories of enemy, namely, your enemy enemy of your friend and friend of your enemy.
