Classes started in February 1997.
All theoretical courses ended in February 1998, and practical training
followed. Practical training is being carried out in the following institutions:

Classes started in January 1998, and
as of 14 April 1998, the following courses have been completed:

Child and Adolescent Mental Health taught by Professor
W.H.G. Wolters, Dr. Jan Ter Laak, and Dr. Henny Lodewijks from
Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

Social Psychology taught by Dr. Abdel Wahhab Mahjoub
from Tunis Univesity in Tunisia.
In May 1998, Dr. Colin MacMullin and
Dr. Maryanne Loughry from Flinders University in Australia will teach the
Communication and Counselling course.
Other Courses
Course in Community Mental Health
Nursing :
In January 1998, we began a new course
in community mental health nursing to provide primary health care nurses
with knowledge and skills in community mental health. Twenty-two male and
female nurses working at primary health care clinics and general hospitals
were selected to take part in this course, which will cover thirteen modules
over a period of eight months.
