GCMHP Participates in the 14th
International Conference for
IACAPAP on "Trauma and Recovery"
On 2-6 August 1998, Dr. Abdel Aziz Thabit, Projects Manager at GCMHP,
participated in the 14th International Conference for IACAPAP entitled
"Trauma and Recovery" in Stockholm (Sweden). Dr. Thabit presented
a paper on "Post Traumatic Stress Reactions in Children in War".
He also gave another presentation on "Child Mental Health Services in Palestine"
in which he highlighted the development of child psychiatry in Palestine
and the pioneer role of the GCMHP Children's Committee. He also described
community approach of GCMHP work with children.
