The Medical Foundation for
the Care of Victims of Torture
Ms. Helen Bamber founded this organization in
order to rehabilitate the survivors of the Nazi concentration camps in
the Second World War. In the past 10 years, it has helped more than 10,000
individuals from over 70 countries. The Foundations approach is to provide
comprehensive, holistic, and professional care including medical, psychiatric,
and legal support. It also plays an extremely important role in influencing
the political decision-making and public attitudes toward asylum seekers
in the UK.
