About SEARCH

SEARCH
is a national non-profit human rights and educational institution, founded in 1972, which seeks a just Israeli-Palestinian peace based on the inalienable rights of both peoples.

SEARCH's focus is on improving media coverage on Palestine/Israel.

SEARCH was founded and is directed by Dr. Edmund Hanauer

The SEARCH Perspective

SEARCH
believes that justice for Palestinians and security for Israeli Jews are interdependent and not mutually exclusive.

SEARCH recognizes the right of resistance against occupation and believes non-violent means are the best form of resistance.

SEARCH seeks a US policy committed to the rights of both peoples.

SEARCH urges Americans to oppose anti-Jewish and anti-Arab prejudices.

SEARCH's Work

SEARCH emphasizes outreach to journalists and informational work with them, as well as with two other important constituencies: American Jews and human rights organizations.

SEARCH supplies journalists (and others) with fact sheets and the Palestine/Israel File.

SEARCH acts as a resource for journalists on various aspects of the Arab-Israeli conflict, including international law, peace, security, human rights, and US policy.
