Palestinian...
A Shepherd, A Refugee

A Christmas message

Nobody even cared,
as our tears were shed in pain.
Our lives were lived in suffering,
like Your torment that was all in vain.

Like You, laying beneath the rich man's gate
crying out in pain,
I am staying in tents near the Jordan
and in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon,
feeding my children decayed flour of the UN.

We, both, begged for crumbs of food,
savage life to sustain.

Nobody knew of our real sufferings.

They passed us by every day.
You and I :-
Lazrus lay beneath the rich people's gate,
as life mercilessly slipped away.

We never asked to dine at a counter,
only for crumbs that reached the floor.
Yet nobody cared about our dreams,
and we always lamented,
and we "could cry no more."

Even the donkeys, the swords and the F-16s
joined Your children in their lamentations
in their beseiged refugee camps;
within their tormented UN barracks.

And no man mourned Our Holocaust,
Not one true tear was shed.
But our hearts were broken,
for Your Sheep that was slaughtered in the shed.

Our prayer was turned toward Heaven,
from amongst the mountains of Your Holyland,
Where the Master of the Universe heard our cry.
The wrath of God remains kindled
at those who wanted You and I to die.

"For even as ye have done unto them,
ye do also unto me,"
But till the blazes of the hellfire devour them,
they would not understand or see.
