ANNOUNCEMENT
Arrangements for entering the campus during the election time:
- Entering the campus during the election period is permitted only for students and employees of the university.
- Students are asked to avoid inviting visitors during the period mentioned above
- All students are asked to show their university cards to the guards at the entrances to the campus. Students who have lost their cards are asked to obtain a new card by going to the services department between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM
ANNOUNCEMENT
The Preparations Committee for the student council elections
2000/2001 announce the following:
A- Nomination:
- Nominating for the Student Council (51 members), will start on Monday 3-4-2000 at 9:00 AM
- Nomination is through the personal attendance of the nominated at the student affairs department to fill the nomination form and present the university card
- Nomination process goes on till Tuesday 4-4-2000, 2:00 PM
- The deadline of withdraw is Wednesday 5-4-2000, 11:00 AM
B- Election Campaign
- The Preparations Committee forms the basis of the campaign and approves or disapproves any slogan or statement of any bloc inside the campus. It is the reference for the election process
- Campaign starts on Saturday morning, 21-4-2000
- Campaign ends on Monday 24-4-2000 at 4:00 PM
- The debate is held on Tuesday 25-4-2000
C- Voting:
- Voting takes place on Wednesday 26-4-2000 when the ballot boxes are open from 8:30 AM till 4:00 PM in the locations that the Preparations Committee will announce
- 5:00 PM, Wednesday 26-4 counting of the votes will begin.
- Thursday 27-4-2000, official announcement of the results
D- Nominating and Voting conditions:
- Nominating:
a- Each regular undergraduate student (registered for at least 12 credit hours) is legal to nominate for the elections
b- The Nominated should at least have finished one semester in the university.
c- Any student who has an academic or behavior probation is not allowed to nominate for the elections
- Voting:
a- All the regular undergraduate students have the right to vote
b- Each student should present their university ID when voting
E- Committee Location:
Student Affairs Department Office is considered the official location of the preparing committee
