Flamingo's

Located in the building which used to house Maxim's, Flamingo's is on a side street leading off Ramallah's Main Street, Flamingo's is one of the new breed of restaurant/bars in Ramallah. Walking through the door you pass through the bowing branches of large plants growing at the entrance and the whole restaurant is full of amusing touches such as flamingo tiles on the tables, a flamingo luminous light and pretty tiled walls. Serving a mixture of food in a flourescent fog the restaurant is generally popular and frequently busy. The bar is separate from the main restaurant area and has quickly become a local hang-out where people can just drop in for a drink or two and watch MTV. The area is a peanut-free-for-all, with a large oil drum holding nuts, the shells of which then get scattered across the floor in what is a truly relaxed atmosphere.
