DONATION TO POLITICAL PRISONERS

LAWE DONATES 70 CEILING FANS FOR POLITICAL PRISONERS

IN PALESTINIAN PRISONS

During LAWE's recent visit to the Palestinian jails in Ramallah and Jericho with the Swedish Commission of Jurists, political prisoners described the conditions of their detention. Among their many concerns, they particularly pointed out the extreme heat of the prisons.

LAWE, as part of its work in the defense of human rights, decided to donate 70 ceiling fans to the prisons of Ramallah and Jericho for installation in the detention area for the political prisoners, to alleviate the harsh conditions under which they suffer.

LAWE condemns the conditions in which these political prisoners are being detained, and calls for the immediate release of all political prisoners.

Land and Water Establishment is a Palestinian non-governmental organization, which seeks to defend human rights through legal advocacy. LAWE is also an affiliate of the Paris-based International Federation for Human Rights.
