Organisers, sponsors and location

The First Al-Bireh Festival is being held by the Al-Bireh Municipality, in cooperation with the town's organisations. Sponsors of the event are: Al-Hawaaja Fuels Company, Tawil Company and Anwar 'Qal Offices for Tourism, Travel and Insurance.The event is being held in the playing field of the Jordanian School in Ramallah.

Al-Bireh Municipality, The Youth's Barber Abu Nidal, Ibin 'Ta Nim'r, Jaffar Sweets, Al-Itiqaad Supermarket, Al-Nimr Supermarket, Al-Sherfa Taxis, Anwar 'Qal Offices, Zabaneh Stores, Baladna Ice Cream Parlour, Rukab Ice Cream Parlour, The Dome Restaurant, Henny Penny, and Angelos. At the festival gates, ticket price is 10 NIS.

Programme of events

Wednesday 17 July	5.00pm - Charity football match - between Sakhain Sports and Al-Bireh Youth Sports organisation(new Al-Bireh school football pitch
Thursday 18 July	8.00pm - Opening Ceremony at 4pm, with Karate demonstration, fashion show, popular poetry and an Al-Bireh-style welcome! An-Najah Choir (Nablus), Beni Na'im Folk group, and Dabbka folk troupe (Ramallah).
Friday 19 July	8.30pm - M'ilya Singing Group, Fiddle performance by A'wd Abu Haddad, Artas Dabbka Group and popular poetry from Abu Jasir Al-Hufairy and 'Arif Al-Jaba'y. 10.00am-6.00pm - Exhibition of adult and children's books, fine arts, Arabic calligraphy, Bedouin goods, and popular food. 10.00am-6.00pm - In'ash al-Usra Society, museum of popular Palestinian legacy is open as part of the festival.
Saturday 20 July	8.30pm - Majd Al-Karoom Dabbka Group, Qirawa Beni Zeid Group, Samoud Group (Birzeit) and the Hazamaa Dabbka Group. 10.00am-6.00pm - Exhibition of adult and children's books, fine arts, Arabic calligraphy, Bedouin goods, and popular food. 10.00am-6.00pm - In'ash al-Usra Society, museum of popular Palestinian legacy is open as part of the festival.
