The goal of the post-graduate diploma is to improve the quality of health care services and, thus, the health of the communities they serve, by developing the conceptual and practical skills of medical and health staff working within the primary health care sector.
The objectives of the degree program are:
- To provide students with the skills needed to manage the health care system during the transitional and rehabilitative phases that the country is going through.
- To equip students with the necessary skills to become effective trainers.
- To assist students in developing an approach to care provision that is based on inter-sectoral linkages as a necessary step in resolving health issues.
- To prepare students to manage challenges encountered in the development of competent and cost-effective health management information systems on the micro and macro levels.
