Fees

Birzeit university is a non-profit institution. The charge to students is kept at the minimum consistent with high quality of instruction and adequate facilities. Approximately one-quarter of its budget comes from student fees, with the rest coming in the form of donations from individuals, alumni, organizations based in the Arab world or abroad.

All fees listed below are valid for the year 1998/1999 and given in Jordanian Dinars (JD) 1 JD is equal to about U$1.5.

  1. Tuition fees (per credit hour):
  1. Activities Fee: (per semester) 35 JD
  2. Graduation fees - 30 JD

Financial Aid

A number of scholarships from the University and other, private sources are made available each year to outstanding and needy students. These cover part, or all, of tuition and lodging fees. Further aid is available in the form of work scholarships and interest-free loans..
