On Wednesday October 24, 2001 Several hundred Israeli troops accompanied by over twenty tanks and two attack helicopters entered into Beit Rima to carry out a "policing operation" to arrest members of a PFLP "cell" that was allegedly active in the village. During the attack five palestinians were killed, 24 were injured, 50 were detained (11 arrested)and three homes were demolished. The attached paper uses first hand testimonies and information gathered by al-Haq in the week after the attack to reconstruct the events of the 24th. | ||||
